Known for his wide area
of interests, Sham Achrekar has been traveling almost all over
the world in the last thirty years. The best and the highlighting
part of this travel is that he has been traveling all by himself
in his young days, trying to explore the possibilities of knowing
the world very closely. This website is the outcome of his curiosity
about the old world that is now moving at a very advanced stage.
The collection of Sham Achrekar consist of mostly Photographs
of Old Indian Cities, Stamp Papers, Letter heads and Old Advertisements.
When you browse through this site, you will realize how fast
the world around us is moving and how things evolve to become
more and more dynamic. However, you will also feel a little
sad to see that the vintage era was more beautiful and its worth
taking a look.

Sham Achrekar, born on 12th August 1952, brought up in the urban
areas of Bombay (now Mumbai), and now settled in Goa. After
his retirement from working abroad, he spent about 21 years
doing farming along with his wife, Ujwala and two sons, Archis
and Angad, at his farmhouse in the most beautiful rural village
in Goa
